Sterilization & Packaging

At GDT Dental Implants, patient safety and clinical efficiency are our highest priorities. All sterilization and packaging processes follow international standards and are designed to give clinicians full confidence at every stage - from storage to surgical use.

Implants

All implants are supplied sterile, sterilized by gamma irradiation, and packaged in a validated double-vial system (outer vial + sterile inner vial). This ensures maximum protection during transport and allows a safe, no-touch transfer to the surgical field.

  • Sterile, single-use only
  • Double packaging for safe handling
  • Sterility guaranteed unless the seal is broken or expiry date has passed
  • Implants must not be re-sterilized or reused

Prosthetic Components & Screws

All prosthetic components (abutments, healing caps, multi-unit parts) and screws are supplied non-sterile. They must be cleaned and sterilized by autoclave in the clinic before use, following standard protocols.

  • Supplied non-sterile
  • Sterilize prior to use in accordance with IFU guidelines
  • Reuse is not recommended as it may compromise integrity and safety

Autoclave Guidance (per IFU)

  • 121–124 °C (250 °F): 30 minutes exposure + 30 minutes drying
  • 132–135 °C (270 °F): 20 minutes exposure + 30 minutes drying
  • Do not exceed 140 °C (284 °F)
  • Always use a dry cycle

Traceability & Labeling

Each sterile implant is labeled with batch number and expiry date, ensuring full traceability. Clinicians should verify package integrity and record batch details in the patient’s file as best practice.

Legal & Clinical Notice

GDT Dental Implants provides sterile implants and non-sterile prosthetic components in accordance with our official Instructions for Use (IFU). Implants are single-use devices and must not be re-sterilized or reused. Prosthetic components and screws supplied non-sterile must be cleaned and sterilized in the clinic before use. Failure to comply may increase the risk of contamination, infection, or clinical complications. This page is an informational summary and does not replace the official IFU or professional training. Use is restricted to licensed dental professionals as required by law.
